Who is Kiyanna?
Kiyanna Parihaar is a 10-year-old chess prodigy from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. She is the first-ever Woman Candidate Master (WCM) from the state of Rajasthan and was recognized as the youngest WCM in India according to the FIDE list of November 2025.
Currently a Class 5 student at MDS Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, Kiyanna began her chess journey at the tender age of four. What started as a curious fascination with the 64 squares has blossomed into an extraordinary career that has taken her across continents — from the UAE to Kazakhstan to Greece — collecting medals and making history along the way.
Trained by coach Hemal Thanki, Kiyanna demonstrates remarkable versatility across all formats of the game — Standard, Rapid, and Blitz — showcasing mental resilience and tactical acumen well beyond her years.
The Path to Greatness
Kiyanna picks up her first chess piece, beginning a journey that would soon take her to international stages.
Dominates Rajasthan championships across multiple age categories, establishing herself as the most promising young player.

Kiyanna's dedicated chess coach who has been instrumental in developing her tactical skills, opening preparation, and competitive mindset. Under his guidance, Kiyanna's rating has climbed steadily to an ELO peak of 1818.
